Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities come to live and work in our communities and share their abilities and gifts. Living in a Camphill community is an opportunity for anyone to live, work, grow and find happiness and meaning in their lives.

If you know an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities who has an interest in living in community, engaging in a rich cultural life and taking part in meaningful work, we welcome you to contact the community of your choice to learn more about their admissions process.

Because coming to live and work in a Camphill community is a choice, not a placement, the process takes place over an extended period. This is to make sure that the people involved are making an informed and meaningful choice. For example, many communities have trial periods where everyone can find out whether community life is right for them. In shared living, everyone has rights and responsibilities.
